I'm seein' a difference!

I've added the weighted gloves to the learn and burn video and LOVE it! I also use them when I do the aerobic Windsor pilates workout. What a sweat! I've started to notice a difference, too! Yeehaw! That is so motivating!
Here are my measurements as of 5/14/08.
Hips: 39
Waist: 31
Bust: 37.75
Arms: 11
Thighs: 23.5 & 23.24 (my thighs are different... I'm weird!)
Do the math and notice that it's starting to come off!

Some people have asked me about exercising without paying attention to what they are eating. My opinion is you have to do both. Just exercising isn't going to change very much for me. I have to pay attention to what I'm eating. I am what I eat! Honestly! I can tell a huge difference in how I feel... do I feel weak like a wet noodle, do I feel strong and don't even notice that instead of trudging up the stairs in my house I jog them? If you are used to eating white bread try to start weaning yourself off. Nutritious food may take some getting used to if you've never paid attention before. If you stop using white bread for awhile and instead eat whole wheat after a few sandwiches you'll like it better. What's wrong with white bread you ask? White bread is just like sugar to the body. It dissolves quickly into the blood stream. Foods that enter the blood stream slowly make you feel better and you feel full longer. Whole wheat is awesome! It has fiber and whole grains! Two whammies! There are whole wheat: breads, pastas, and pitas. An easy way to wean is to start using half white flour half wheat in a recipe. It works in almost any recipe. Try it! Try it in your cookies and pizza doughs and banana breads! Also, if you go to Kroger and purchase whole wheat flour it's not going to be more nutritious than the white flour. It looses it's nutritious characteristics after time. I am blessed with a wheat grinder - which I love! You can go to a whole food store or a farmers market and purchase freshly ground wheat flour.

It's the little things that add up to weight loss and a healthier self. I promise! That bowl of ice cream before bed is enough to widen those hips! I know that I want a desert almost every night. I eat it right after dinner and try to only have a bit, or do a healthier treat. TWo of my favorites are a tablespoon of peanut butter with chocolate chips sprinkled on top (only 1 T spoon) or a cup of Blue Bonnet frozen yogurt with fruit or just a tiny bit of chocolate syrup on top! Mm! It's all about portions. A large bowlful isn't gonna help much, but a bit is fabulous! A big trick I've seen work for me is not eating anything after dinner. Not even a grape! I eat an earlier dinner (no later than 6:30) and then I'm done! "Kitchen is closed, but water is open all night." In the morning I feel better and I can tell there's just a tad of fat missing from my waist.

I'd love to hear what you are trying and your successes! I love you!
