Also, start parking as far away from the store as you can. If you haven't been exercising and if it uncomfortable start walking. Walk around your backyard. Do a few laps to get your heartrate up and a good habit started. Walk to school, the library, the bus stop, the grocery store. Walking is awesome!
Also, start healthy dialog with your children, especially your daughters. When they ask about the change in bread explain that this is a healthier bread that will make their bodies feel better. Omit words like diet or fat or chubby, etc. We are making healthy changes so we can feel good and live healthy lives.
If you excersize regularly ask yourself these questions. Am I breaking a sweat, am I sore afterwards, could I increase my intensity, is my technique as good as the demonstrators, could I be in one of their videos or lead this class. I, personally, had very little results going to a gym. The olymptical machine or treatmill or stairmaster just didn't put me at the right intensity. I would get on and watch tv. A stead heart rate doesn't burn much fat!!! I lost 95% of my weight using in home videos! I can do them whenever, it doesn't waist time driving, or cost a membership, and I can do it at my intensity and rewind the parts I'm not coordinated enough to get on the first try.
If you're familiar with this blog you know I shout out TURBO JAM! It's the best investment to make! The workout truly are fabulous! They get results, and they are so fun to do. Working out needs to be a good time or you won't do it. There are other good sources out there. A website I like is collagevideo.com. You can view clips of different workouts so you can see if it's something you would enjoy.
The proven secret is "Turbo Training" - (http://www.turbojam.com/) - In a recent university study, some Turbo Jam participants burned over 1,000 calories an hour—that's more than walking, strength training, Pilates, step aerobics, and even running! Plus, add Chalene's Turbo Sculpting Gloves to supercharge your workout and activate 96% more muscle activity than with Turbo Jam alone!
You're fabulous! And you are worth it!!
